Bridalveil Fall

Bridalveil Fall is a prominent waterfall in the Yosemite Valley in California that is yearly seen by millions of visitors to Yosemite National Park. It is approximately 227 m tall. A strange fact about this waterfall is that when the wind blows briskly, the waterfall will appear to be falling sideways. Because of this, the Ahwahneechee Native Americans called this waterfall Pohono, which means Spirit of the Puffing Wind.

"But there is very little information about the history of insects eating plants in South America, despite the tremendous number of plant and animal species there today. This study provides the first window to the past on the South American continent's ancient diversity and abundance of insects on plants 52 million years ago."
