Claudia Ann Christian is an American actress, most famous for her role as Commander Susan Ivanova on the science fiction television series Babylon 5. Prior to Babylon 5, Christian was best known for her feature film roles as a stripper possessed by aliens in The Hidden (1987) and as model Hexina in Hexed (1993).

Egyptian Sea Vessel Artifacts Discovered At Pharaonic Port Of Mersa Ga
In December, an archaeology team led by Kathryn Bard of Boston University and Rudolfo Fattovich of the University of Naples "L'Orientale"discovered two man-made caves at Wadi Gawasis along the Red Sea coast. The caves are thought to be nearly 4,000 years old. One held nautical artifacts from ancient Egyptian sea vessels, including two intact, curved, cedar steering oars. Limestone stelae indicate the cave may also have served as a temple.

New NASA Mission To Reveal Moon's Internal Structure And Evolution
At a Dec. 10 meeting of the American Geophysical Union, NASA's Associate Administrator for Science Alan Stern announced the selection of a new mission that will peer deep inside the moon to reveal its anatomy and history. The Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory, or Grail, mission is a part of NASA's Discovery Program. It will cost $375 million and is scheduled to launch in 2011. Grail will fly twin spacecraft in tandem orbits around the moon for several months to measure its gravity field in unprecedented detail. The mission also will answer longstanding questions about Earth's moon and provide scientists a better understanding of how Earth and other rocky planets in the solar system formed.

Obese Heart Attack Patients Are More Likely To Survive After Treatment
Obese and very obese patients have a lower risk of dying after they have been treated for heart attacks than do normal weight patients, according to new research. Researchers found that amongst patients who had received initial treatment for a specific type of heart attack, those that were obese or very obese were less than half as likely to die during the following three years as patients who had a normal body mass index.
