Tomb Raider (movie)

Most recently, the idea of Tomb Raider has been extended beyond being just a video game. During the summer of 2001, Lara Croft made her big screen debut on movie theatres across America and other countries. Lara however, in her new screen role, was not portrayed as an animated computer character, but was played by a live movie actress, Angelina Jolie.

The film was shot on location at Angkor, Cambodia.

During the summer of 2003, the sequel, Lara Croft Tomb Raider : The Cradle of Life, made its way into theatres across the United States and other countries around the world.

Cigarette Smoke Worsens Respiratory Infections In Infants
Studying Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) to learn what puts children at risk for the most severe infections, Washington University researchers at St. Louis Children's Hospital found that a child's age at the time of infection and whether that child lives with a smoker could mean the difference between the sniffles and the intensive care unit.

Climate Change Only One Symptom Of A Stressed Planet Earth
In releasing its latest comprehensive report, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) focuses an important spotlight on the current state of the Earth's climate. Climate change is just one of the many symptoms exhibited by a planet under pressure from human activities. Hydroxycitric Acid Slows Glucose Uptake, Cuts Insulin Peaks/Valleys A
A dietetic aid, hydroxycitric acid (HCA) looks great in animal studies, but human trials show neither food nor weight reduction. Dutch researchers studied how HCA works and found HCA slowed glucose absorption over two hours, compared with 20 minutes in nontreated rats. Urging caution, they note that with further study, there even could be implications for diabetes treatment. With sugar/insulin peaks and valleys likely leveled, the South Beach Diet parallel comes to mind.

Hopkins Scientists Uncover 'Tags' That Force Proteins To Cell Surface
Johns Hopkins scientists have discovered internal "shipping labels"that allow -- and perhaps force -- hundreds if not thousands of proteins to get to the surface of cells and stay there. Two natural proteins that use one of these "tags"are the ion channel that lets heart cells contract on cue, and the docking point that allows HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, into cells, the researchers discovered.
